First a few words from Pokey.... " I feel when a child displays something they are proud of making, we all need to encourage that beginning spark of creativity, not put that spark out with negatives.. We need to give comments that build self-esteem, not remarks of ridicule or to make light of the childsaccomplishments. We need to give these Kids words of inspiraion, compliments, pats on the back and yes even advice and a little critcism, if it's constructive criticism, so these fledglings can aspire with confidence to even greater things... As we look at these Art works from 1 to 19 year olds, keep in mind they are real people, with real feelings and your words could and can influence them. Think about this as well, you just might be looking at the NEXT Picasso, Jennie Brownscome or Rembrants first piece of art ...... " |
Hi Pokey, I thought the Art work was refreshing, even the youngest kids art pieces have flair.I also thought it was great that all of them recieved some kind of recognition.I had a hard time picking a choice out of ALL so I picked 3 that I found attracted me the most. GroupA- #2 the use of many colors was pleasing to the eye, Group D- #1 I like the use of values with one color, and Group D- # 6 because I like birds and detail of the trees.
